I just finished the second Stieg Larsson book, The Girl who Played with Fire, and I love these books. I am holding off on the last one because it will be the last book Stieg ever writes as he died before the series was published.
The first book looks like this:

After a bit of google time, I learned that they are making an American/English language version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. There are rumors floating around about who should be the leading lady, one has a musician who looks like she swims in her own urine, but last night on TV I found the perfect actress:

Her name is Allison Scagliotti. I saw her on Warehouse 13's second season premiere, and she was on the run from the show's patriarch Arty. The way she moves, sounds, and looks is pure Lisbeth from the books. I know it won't happen, they'll probably cast Julia Roberts to play the 25 year old and do some CGI work for no reason, but if they have a tight budget and need a girl that fits the part without any help, my vote is for Allison.
